Staple in my diet for sure. The carnitas are amazing and the burritos are huge. My only complaint is that I like my tacos traditional with only onions and cilantro and my friend likes all of the fixings like they normally do there. Whenever we order together, they only put onions and cilantro on their's as well.

"I'd like the all-meat Carne Asada burrito please"
"Meat?"
"Yes...the all-meat Carne Asada burrito."
5 minutes later;
"Excuse me...They put beans and rice in my burrito...I ordered the all-meat Carne Asada burrito"
"Carne Asada?"
"Yes...all meat...no beans or rice."
"Side of beans?"
"No...I want the ALL MEAT Carne Asada burrito...NO beans NO rice"
"All meat?"
"Yes..NO beans, NO rice...just MEAT".
Burrito comes with extra rice and beans.
I just have to pick everything off but the meat & call it good...EVERY TIME.
If you dine in you can stand there and have them keep remaking the order until they get it right (they will usually get it right around the third time) but do NOT get take out from the drive through.
No bueno.
BTW
I have NEVER had this experience at either of the locations in Portland. Only the one on Fourth Plain. -

I have been here a couple of times and cannot get enough of the Caldo de Res (basically a soup). This is pretty much how my dad used to make it.
What I have learned is that although there are different Don Pedros, they are not the same owners. You can tell by the food. This location has such a great flavor. Seriously, the meat was so tender. Yum! The guacamole is fresh (yum!) and the flower tortillas are actually a large burrito tortilla cut in 4.
My brother ordered the Birria and he said it was great. I think it's Res also but not really sure. It had a red sauce over it and looked so great.
The location is not modern, by no means, but sometimes these are the best places. It's clean inside, the people are friendly and I definitely recommend visiting and trying it out.
FYI: They have lengua (for those who were wondering) -

My friends and I went to get burritos for lunch. I got the bean and cheese burrito and I'm so disappointed. I've been to a different location and it was so good. But here, the tortilla wasn't that soft, the beans were cold, and the cheese wasn't melted at all. It was just loose cheese. It's not even like they tried. My other friend got a burrito and her tortilla wasn't soft either she had random crunchy pieces. Both of us feel sick and like we are going to throw up. Never going back to this location.

I didn't like it that much I order tacos plain and they put everything on it, the meat was also hard and tasted old.
